Curations of Love #4

Hey everyone! I’m a day behind, but I’m determined to start writing blog posts regularly.

This year, I’m focused on the idea of building momentum. It’s tempting to try to change everything at once, but that’s usually not possible. To make habits stick, you have to do them consistently, every day or every week, to build momentum.

For instance, I used to find writing blog posts difficult, and my first instinct was to procrastinate. But once I started writing a bit every day, I realized I actually enjoy it a lot, and I got used to feeling good, which helped me build momentum.

Anyway, enough about me. I want to share this week’s recommendations with you, and I hope the tools I share can help you build your own momentum.

Khan Academy

Self-learning is an important part of my life. The internet is very fascinating because it is filled with endless information. You can learn about thousands of different organisms, thousands of different stars in the universe. You can have information about almost all of the books ever written. It is interesting to think that we have all this information in our pockets, with just a few clicks away. But, I must admit that sometimes it is hard to get reliable information or learn something systematically. That’s why I use free online courses to get a grip on the topics I want to learn more about. I am taking the Art History and World History courses from Khan Academy and I love how they categorized everything, so I can track my progress. If you want to implement self-learning as a part of your life, I can recommend Khan Academy as a starting point.

London Writers Salon

If you are a fellow writer like I am, I highly recommend London Writers Salon. I heard it first from Ali Abdaal and I joined few of their meetings over the past year. Everyday, hundreds of writers get together online in a Zoom meeting to work on their own writing for 50 minutes. They start with an inspirational quote for the day, and everyone works on their own writing until the end of the session. If you want writing to be a part of your life, you can have a look at their website here.

Finally, I want to share some journaling prompts for the new week:

-This week I will be more…

-I want to release and let go of….

-I want to create more of …. this week.

I hope you have an amazing week ahead. Bye!
